A public hearing on Fairfax Forward, a new approach to land use planning that would replace the Area Plans Review process, has been delayed more than two months, to July 11, by the Board of Supervisors.
At its April 16 meeting, the PDC approved the drafting of a letter recommending clarifications to the plan, to ensure that the public’s role in reviewing and commenting on land use changes is preserved. The PDC has continued discussions with county planners, and a final draft letter is expected to be issued to members this weekend (May 11-12).
The Fairfax County Federation of Citizens Associations has scheduled a May 16 membership meeting on Fairfax Forward. It will begin at 7:30 pm, at the Mason District Government Center, 6507 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA 22003.
